Our tip for your hike without guide
How about the “SCHWALBENWAND-RUNDE”, for example?
The starting point is the parking lot behind the Mitterberg mountain inn. First, walk along a forest road until you reach narrow forest paths and continue hiking to the summit cross at 2,011 meters. The 11-kilometer hike is easy, but requires good footwear and sure-footedness. Let yourself be inspired by the fantastic scenery on your hike – snow-capped mountains, autumn landscapes, and Lake Zell. The best way back starts at Schwalbenwandweg No. 83, which passes the Schützingalm. You can also stop here for a bite to eat.

Autumn delights & culinary tips
Autumn also promises culinary delights – let yourself be surprised by traditional Pinzgau cuisine or grab a wooden spoon and conjure up a traditional Pinzgau dish in the kitchen of Chalet Georg. For example, go mushroom hunting yourself – in the forests and alpine pastures you will find chanterelles and porcini mushrooms in damp, shady places.
